Strategic Finance Senior Associate (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, USA; hybrid work with four days a week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office

Salary: $119,000–$165,000 base salary annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Product leadership on growth strategy, success metrics, and initiative performance.
• Develop and maintain reporting that helps leaders track progress against expectations.
• Improve forecasting processes, systems, tooling, automation, and scalability.
• Lead cohort-based analyses and data deep dives across acquisition and engagement.
• Contribute to earnings preparation and executive narratives about user growth.
• Use automation and emerging AI capabilities to streamline reporting and workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital, or a related field.
• Strong skills in building scalable and intuitive financial models.
• Experience with cohort data and ROI analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
• High attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally and communicate with senior leadership independently.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience with Looker and SQL.
• Familiarity with marketing ecosystems, acquisition channels, and channel KPIs.
