Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, full-time in the Barcelona office; possibility to move to the New York office.

hirify.global builds conversational AI voice agents for healthcare organizations, automating administrative workflows such as claims checks, benefit verification, prior authorizations, scheduling, and balance reminders.

What you will do

• Design and scale the platform powering real-time conversational AI agents.
• Build low-latency speech and LLM pipelines for human-like phone interactions.
• Develop orchestration layers for asynchronous workloads and distributed systems.
• Implement reliability systems for production AI voice agents.
• Deploy and operate voice agents handling thousands of daily healthcare calls.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building products end-to-end, from architecture through production deployment.
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI and Python, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience managing large-scale distributed systems with asynchronous workload orchestration.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ownership-oriented approach and readiness to work on high-scale AI voice deployments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, or other machine learning models.
• Experience with Pipecat or voice-agent systems.
• Founder mindset and interest in building products from the ground up.
