Location: Mountain View, California, United States; fully onsite with daily collaboration in production, engineering, and quality areas

What you will do
- Perform incoming, in-process, final, and first article inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.
- Use precision measuring instruments and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Document inspection results, discrepancies, quality records, and traceability information accurately.
- Initiate non-conformance reports and support Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and process improvement activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and maintain compliant production processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and regulation-compliant inspection area.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 2 years of quality inspection experience, preferably in aerospace or another highly regulated industry.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and general ISO quality systems, with familiarity with FAA or similar regulatory requirements.
- Experience with precision measurement tools, FAI, in-process inspections, and final inspections.
- Working knowledge of avionics systems, connectors, wire harnesses, standard testing methods, mechanical assemblies, tolerances, and fit requirements.
- Personal mode of transportation, background check clearance, applicable drug-test clearance, ability to lift 40 pounds, and comfort working in confined spaces are required.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
- Six Sigma training.
- Additional experience supporting AS9100 compliance in aerospace or manufacturing.
