Staff Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Hybrid in Portland, Oregon, USA; regular office attendance is required, and candidates must reside within commuting distance.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 annually, plus potential bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications and web APIs using Microsoft .NET and C#.
• Build software with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Design and implement transaction-oriented software and integrations with databases and operating systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, then devise solutions to improve application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Provide organized technical leadership to scrum teams of 5–7 developers while contributing hands-on to project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 7+ years of experience, or 15+ years of experience without a degree.
• 8–12 years of professional Microsoft .NET development experience and expert-level C# skills.
• At least 7 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular or React.
• Expertise in Unix/Linux systems programming, including I/O, networking, file systems, database access, and shell scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of .NET infrastructure and expert-level SQL/Oracle database experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and implementing transaction-oriented software in a Linux/C environment.
• Expert-level PHP capabilities.
