Salary: $53–$75 per hour for Media Production Specialist I; $123,000–$174,000 annually for Media Production Specialist II. California pay range: $110,000–$174,000 USD.

What you will do

  • Operate cameras for scripted brand films, documentaries, executive interviews, hardware showcases, live events, and social content.
  • Design and execute lighting setups for solo-operator and full-crew productions, serving as a gaffer or director of photography when needed.
  • Support shot listing, lighting diagrams, storyboarding, and location scouting during pre-production.
  • Run independent productions while managing camera, audio, and lighting equipment.
  • Capture product, hardware, portrait, and event photography.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain camera and lighting equipment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a cinematographer, camera operator, or director of photography.
  • Professional experience with ARRI, RED, Sony FX/Venice, or Blackmagic camera systems and strong knowledge of exposure, color science, and lens theory.
  • Hands-on experience designing lighting setups in studios and on location.
  • Ability to work independently, with a small crew, or as part of a larger production team.
  • Strong composition, camera movement, and visual storytelling skills demonstrated through a portfolio.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control rules or be eligible for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

  • Photography experience covering products, hardware, portraits, or events.
  • Location sound capture and interview setup experience.
  • Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve proficiency.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Startup, technology, or aerospace experience; willingness to travel up to 10%.
