Videographer — Short-Form Content & Product Visual Production (Automotive)

Annual salary: $80,000–$85,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Design and capture high-volume short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu.
• Operate cinema mirrorless cameras, action cameras, gimbal rigs, and professional mobile capture workflows for platform-ready assets.
• Design and execute portable and studio lighting setups for field, product, automotive, executive, and event productions.
• Support product demos, brand films, customer-scenario shoots, automotive content, launches, and executive productions as a second-camera videographer and lighting operator.
• Capture ongoing content for robotics products, vehicles, lifestyle scenarios, livestreams, events, and KOL/KOC collaborations.
• Deliver tagged, organized, editing-ready assets for short-form editing, AI-assisted variant generation, and multi-account distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in film and television production, cinematography, digital media, visual communications, communications, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in short-form video, social content, branded content, content commerce, or related production.
• Advanced knowledge of Sony, Canon, Panasonic, DJI, and professional mobile camera workflows, with familiarity with Sony FX9/VENICE, RED, or ARRI systems.
• Hands-on expertise in professional lighting, color temperature and CRI management, product reflection control, modifiers, gels, and diffusion.
• Proficiency in handheld, gimbal-stabilized, run-and-gun production and 9:16 vertical-native framing for simultaneous 9:16, 16:9, and 1:1 output.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted production tools and systems, including CapCut automation, Runway, HeyGen, generative video models, and AI-powered asset management platforms.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required for coordination with U.S. crews and China-based production and post-production partners.

• Portfolio demonstrating platform performance, audience growth, or self-operated social account experience.
• Experience with automotive, EV, robotics, AI hardware, consumer electronics, or lifestyle technology content.
• Experience with livestream commerce, KOL/KOC campaigns, product or automotive lighting, and executive portraits.
• Self-shooting, on-camera presenting, POV content, FPV drones, action cameras, or other specialty capture techniques.
