Security Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States, with regular work across Southern California facilities. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $33–$47 USD per hour in California.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair access control, video surveillance, visitor management, intrusion detection, and door-locking systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, firmware updates, system health checks, alarm testing, validation, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot cameras, readers, sensors, panels, door hardware, and other low-voltage security systems.
• Support retrofit, expansion, and new-deployment projects across multiple facilities, including restricted-area and security-core builds.
• Review architectural plans, conduct site walks, identify device placement, and update deployment drawings.
• Coordinate with Protect, Facilities, IT, vendors, and integrators while maintaining service records, inventories, and spare-parts stock.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining physical security systems.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of security cameras, VMS platforms, access control, door and locking hardware, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring, field hardware installation, physical keying systems, alarm testing, and restricted-area builds.
• Ability to read, interpret, and mark up architectural drawings; strong organization, communication, judgment, integrity, and discretion are required.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing due to access to U.S.-controlled information and items.
