Director, Treasury & Credit Risk (Retail)

Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite.

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year.

What you will do

• Oversee global cash management, liquidity optimization, investment activities, cash forecasting, and daily retail cash operations across entities and geographies.
• Build treasury infrastructure for new international markets, including entity banking, intercompany funding, repatriation strategies, and transfer pricing alignment.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury management systems, payment platforms, reporting tools, processes, controls, policies, debt covenants, and financing compliance.
• Lead foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, hedging strategies, foreign currency trades, VAT considerations, and transaction-cost optimization.
• Direct credit risk management, credit limits, customer insurance coverage, counterparty and vendor risk assessments, and relationships with insurance brokers.
• Oversee business and credit insurance programs, including bank guarantees and letters of credit, policy placement, coverage recommendations, retentions, and annual renewals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA or CPA is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant treasury experience, ideally including experience in a high-growth or scaling environment.
• Experience building or scaling treasury functions, rather than only maintaining them.
• Experience in credit and risk management, treasury management, and banking relationship management.
• Retail or consumer goods experience is strongly preferred, including familiarity with seasonal cash cycles, inventory dynamics, and store-level operations.
• Proficiency with ERP and treasury management systems.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with C-Suite, senior leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Strategic, financial, and managerial acumen; ability to influence and manage change in a fast-moving organization; and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.
• Experience with NetSuite.
