TL;DR
Integration Technician I (Aerospace): Assemble, install, and test flight hardware for Haven-1 and future human-rated space stations with an accent on avionics, propulsion, structural systems, precision tooling, and pneumatic testing. Focus on interpreting technical drawings, working with fragile assemblies, performing cleanroom and ESD-controlled operations, and supporting vehicle testing and integration.

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Must be willing to travel for vehicle testing and integration in Mojave, Ohio, and Florida for periods ranging from weeks at a time.

Salary: $22–$32 USD in California.

Develops next-generation commercial space stations, including the Haven station platform, for human presence in space, microgravity research, manufacturing, and space-economy applications.

What you will do

  • Assemble, install, and test flight hardware for avionics, propulsion, and structural systems.
  • Use torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, mechanical tools, and other precision equipment.
  • Perform high-pressure pneumatic testing according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions.
  • Read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Collaborate with production engineers and quality personnel to develop and document integration activities.
  • Perform production work safely and on schedule, including support for vehicle testing and integration.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in hardware assembly, testing, and/or installation.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, manipulate machinery, and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, adapt responsibilities, communicate with engineering and production, and work effectively in a team.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to access U.S.-controlled export information as a U.S. person or be eligible for deemed export licensing. Must lift at least 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating experience.
  • Experience assembling and testing propulsion systems, avionics components, and harnesses.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • NASA-STD-8739.3, NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-620, or IPC-J-STD-001 certifications.
  • Cleanroom, forklift, crane, or heavy-equipment experience; high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
