Data Consultancy Associate, Capital Partners

Location: New York, Philadelphia, or Boston; hybrid with a minimum of three days in the office

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 base salary per year, plus annual bonus target

What you will do

• Partner with client relationship managers, investment professionals, data scientists, quants, client reporting, and marketing to define data requirements.
• Translate business needs and investment use cases into user stories and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Change Management on project charters, requirements documents, data catalogs, and data flow diagrams.
• Work with Technology teams to support User Acceptance Testing and validate delivered solutions.
• Support the Data Management Lead across strategic and tactical data transformation initiatives.
• Identify workflow improvements and develop interim data solutions while strategic capabilities are implemented.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in data-focused roles within an asset management firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting, performance, trading, and investment research data across fixed income, equities, and alternatives.
• Experience partnering with front-office stakeholders to translate business use cases into data requirements.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools, with SQL and/or Python preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with architects, data modelers, engineers, and other technologists to deliver data solutions.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to deliver tactical solutions alongside long-term initiatives.
