Software Engineer I (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Richardson, Texas, with on-site work 2–3 days per week; candidates should live within approximately 50 miles of the office.

Base salary: $74,100–$107,300 USD annually, plus bonus plans and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and test new capabilities and extensions for cross-domain cybersecurity products.
• Build and support software development tools, test infrastructure, and operational capabilities.
• Work hands-on in Linux-based environments and integrate features into complex products.
• Implement product functionality using Rust, C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Bash, and proprietary languages.
• Apply networking concepts to cross-domain capabilities and develop data inspection policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or an equivalent field.
• Experience developing software in Linux environments with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Go, C/C++, or Bash.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and protocols including HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, and TLS/SSL.
• Basic understanding of public/private keys and certificates, plus experience with Git.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora, or Ubuntu.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United States and may need to qualify as a U.S. Person or obtain authorization under U.S. ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or architecting cross-domain solutions.
• Agile or Scrum development experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools, Wireshark, or virtual desktop technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, RDP, Citrix Receiver, or VMware Horizon View.
