Software Development Engineer Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; interns must work onsite for the duration of the summer and relocate to Seattle if necessary. Hybrid work is available, but fully remote work is not.

Salary: $42–$55 per hour

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test code for scalable software systems and cybersecurity-related products.
• Analyze requirements, test features, and integrate components into applications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project peers to develop data-driven solutions.
• Participate in design and code reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
• Create technical documentation for designs and new features.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university in the United States.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029, with at least two academic quarters or semesters remaining after the internship.
• Must commit to a 12-week summer internship starting May 24, June 1, or June 21, 2027.
• Must be able to work onsite in Seattle for the internship and relocate there if not already local.
• Experience programming in an object-oriented language such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or C.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms; no more than two years of full-time professional technology experience in a similar role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI/ML research or applications.
