Coordinating Producer, MS NOW Podcasts

Location: New York, NY; hybrid with three days in the office each week

Salary: $115,000–$143,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end production of podcast episodes, including pitching, scripting, recording, editing, publishing, and metadata creation.
• Produce major MS NOW podcasts, including The Best People with Nicolle Wallace and Main Justice with Andrew Weissmann and Mary McCord.
• Research news, legal, and political topics; structure episodes; prepare hosts; and book compelling guests.
• Coordinate studios, crews, remote guest microphone kits, recording schedules, pickups, promos, and publishing workflows.
• Edit audio and video, oversee sound design, provide mix notes, and maintain high production standards.
• Collaborate with TV, digital, social, and marketing teams while managing and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of audio production experience, preferably in podcasting.
• At least 1 year of video editing experience, preferably for YouTube podcasting.
• Technical expertise in ProTools, Descript, and Premiere.
• Strong understanding of news, politics, journalism ethics, and current podcasting and video trends.
• Must work in New York, NY, work varied shifts as news changes, and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
