DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid, based in Arlington, Virginia, with at least 2 days in the office. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Salary: $74,000–$150,000 per year, with additional experience-based ranges of $74,000–$116,000 and $90,000–$150,000.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated security controls including SAST, SCA, container scanning, SBOM generation, and secrets detection.
• Support Software Factory tooling, artifact repositories, scanning tools, and CI/CD infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, and deploy containerized workloads with Podman and Kubernetes.
• Operate DevSecOps platforms in connected and air-gapped classified environments, including dependency packaging and offline software delivery.
• Investigate technical issues, automate compliance controls, document root causes, and collaborate with software, security, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 1 year of professional software or technical experience and familiarity with software development processes.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts, version control with Git, containerization, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and basic Python or Bash scripting.
• Ability to work on site in Arlington, Virginia at least 2 days per week.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• DevSecOps or DevOps experience and experience with AWS or vCenter.
• Secure software development and automated security testing experience.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, NIST, DISA STIGs, or RMF.
• Experience in defense, government, or other mission-critical domains.
