Systems Test Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop automated regression, integration, and system-level tests for Hivemind autonomy software.
• Design and maintain simulation-based test frameworks for validating autonomy behavior, performance, mission requirements, and safety requirements.
• Build Python tools, test harnesses, and data validation utilities for SIL, HIL, VIL, and simulation environments.
• Identify, reproduce, and diagnose software issues while collaborating with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Define testing methodologies, metrics, performance benchmarks, documentation, and validation tracking.
• Integrate test coverage into CI/CD and support reliable, large-scale simulation infrastructure.

Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience in robotics, small UAS, or related engineering projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on-site in London and adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience testing autonomous systems, robotics software, or flight autonomy algorithms.
• Familiarity with C++ and software/hardware integration.
• Experience with HIL or VIL test environments.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI-driven autonomy systems.
• Experience with simulation infrastructure, distributed testing, test data management, aerospace, defense, or mission-critical software.
