TL;DR
Test Architect – Regression & Quality Strategy (Observability): Designing and owning regression testing architecture for a distributed observability and audit platform with an accent on functional, performance, security, scalability, and infrastructure validation. Focus on building automated quality gates, validating OpenTelemetry workflows and Terraform deployments, and defining measurable acceptance criteria across enterprise environments.
Location: Remote within Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, or Mexico

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end regression testing strategy and automation framework across platform components, product versions, and enterprise environments.
- Define measurable and automatable acceptance criteria from technical success metrics, quality gates, and Definition of Done requirements.
- Design coverage for log and metric ingestion, search performance, distributed tracing, audit trail integrity, alert routing, IaC deployments, scalability, failure injection, security, and compliance.
- Establish test environment and test data strategies for multiple environments and versions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align testing approaches with distributed platform architecture.
- Track quality risks and defects, report testing status, and provide quality sign-off recommendations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Test Architecture, QA Engineering, Quality Engineering, or QA leadership.
- Proven ownership of regression testing strategy and automation architecture for distributed, data-intensive, infrastructure-heavy, or observability-related systems.
- Experience designing functional, performance, scalability, security, and reliability validation strategies.
- Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, observability concepts, and log and metrics pipelines.
- Experience validating distributed tracing or observability workflows, AWS-based infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform-deployed environments.
- Strong English communication skills and experience with Agile, sprint-based development, formal quality gates, acceptance criteria, test environments, and test data strategies.
Nice to have
- Experience testing observability, logging, monitoring, tracing, telemetry, ERP, or other complex enterprise platforms.
- Experience validating audit trail integrity, immutability, resilience, failure injection, compliance, or security-sensitive systems.
- Experience with high-volume data ingestion, performance benchmarking, scalability validation, multiple application versions, or client-facing technical engagements.
