Staff Software Engineer, Salesforce Developer (Salesforce)

Location: Denver, CO; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA, United States. Hybrid employees based in Denver, San Francisco, New York City, or San Jose are expected to work from the office approximately 2–3 days per week. A two-day visit to a hirify.global office is required for onboarding.

Salary: $163,000–$204,000 in Denver and most remote locations; $197,000–$247,000 in San Francisco and New York. Stock equity is additional.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Apex solutions on the Salesforce platform for Sales and CX teams.
• Use AI coding assistants throughout development to write, review, debug, and document code.
• Improve deployed features and measure their impact.
• Apply Salesforce architecture and change and release management practices using the sf CLI.
• Build, test, and debug reliable production systems at scale, including real-time, event-driven, or high-throughput systems.
• Contribute to codebases outside Salesforce when needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years developing Salesforce applications in Apex.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Application Architect certification.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, sf CLI, and change and release management.
• Fluent, daily use of AI coding assistants across writing, reviewing, debugging, and documenting code.
• Experience writing maintainable, well-documented code and building, testing, and debugging reliable production systems at scale.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into business value and advocate for scalable technical solutions.

• Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience in regulated industries.
