Sr. Actuarial Analyst - State National

Location: Bedford, Texas, United States. US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $78,000–$134,090 national average annual base salary, plus a 15% incentive.

What you will do

• Lead actuarial analyses supporting reserving, forecasting, financial planning, risk evaluation, and strategic decisions.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, programs, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.
• Develop, enhance, and govern actuarial models, methodologies, assumptions, and reporting practices.
• Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, and market developments, communicating implications and recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, Accounting, Client Services, and executive leadership.
• Drive process improvement, automation, innovation, cross-functional initiatives, and actuarial talent development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressively responsible actuarial experience, including significant commercial lines reserving experience.
• Deep understanding of actuarial principles, reserving methodologies, insurance analytics, financial reporting, annual statements, and actuarial reporting requirements.
• Experience leading complex analyses and influencing business decisions through data-driven recommendations.
• Strong communication, presentation, project leadership, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, and related analytical technologies.
