Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute quality engineering responsibilities according to QE policies, business processes, account support plans, and management direction.
• Participate in problem solving, change management, customer document reviews, VOC management for NPI processes, internal audits, product support, and development programs.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams across products, regions, and organizations.
• Support business process documentation, item tracking, performance reporting, and continuous improvement project management.
• Apply planning, execution, discipline, learning, leadership, and teamwork in line with hirify.global PACE values.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of quality assurance and quality control concepts.
• Technical college or higher education in chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, or a related technical field; a bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
• Engineering experience in quality, process, equipment, or materials within manufacturing; semiconductor industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in project and issue management, including escalation management and gap closure.
• Experience with Pareto analysis, FMEA, SPC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, DOE, cause-and-effect diagrams, and 8D problem solving.
• Verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English, flexibility to work non-standard hours or shifts supporting North America and Asia, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with PVD/CVD, CMP, photolithography, etching, or ion implantation.
• Experience collaborating remotely with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Experience communicating with overseas sites or customers.
• Experience with Minitab or JMP.
