Business Systems Analyst (Financial Systems)

Location: Flexible hybrid model; in-person interviews may be required for positions based in Boston or Dublin offices.

Salary: $75,000–$93,000 USD annual base salary / OTE.

What you will do

• Collect and document business requirements, translating them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Create data flow, sequence, entity relationship, integration, system design, user guide, and training documentation.
• Analyze quote-to-cash and financial operations processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and Technical Product Managers to implement solutions supporting business requirements, compliance regulations, SOX controls, and audit requirements.
• Partner with QA and finance stakeholders on test planning, test cases, user acceptance testing, defect documentation, and deployment sign-off.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in subscription billing, revenue recognition, and ERP systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of business analyst experience, preferably in finance or enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with finance, accounting, revenue operations, and engineering stakeholders.
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Zuora, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or SAP.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, ASC 606 revenue recognition, order-to-cash workflows, general ledger structures, period-end close, accounts receivable, and billing-to-ledger relationships.
• Understanding of financial controls, audit trails, and SOX compliance is advantageous.

• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
