Account Open Analyst (Fraud Controls)

Location: Remote from the Toronto area, with the ability to attend the primary hirify.global location at Toronto-141 Bay within two hours upon request.

What you will do

• Review account-opening applications for debit, credit, and Simplii Financial products to identify suspected true-name fraud.
• Analyze customer profiles, transactions, banking history, and cheque images to reduce fraud losses and protect client privacy.
• Investigate alerts, referrals, and complex fraud cases, make decisions, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Communicate with clients, branches, partners, and Client Account Management teams by telephone to resolve suspected fraudulent activity.
• Document investigations, decisions, resolutions, and actions accurately in the relevant databases.
• Support Account Open Analysts with inquiries, referrals, and complex-case investigations.

Requirements

• Experience with COINS/ECIF, PRM, RCM, Netquery, and Webview.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, and data-collection skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple software applications and dual monitors.
• Strong knowledge of banking systems and products.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to meet the Toronto location requirement.
• Ability to work from home with a secure, enclosed workspace and wired internet providing at least 15 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
