EHS Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States; onsite in a manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Partner with site Operations leaders to drive EHS ownership and accountability.
• Administer and improve mandatory safety training for employees, temporary employees, and transferred employees.
• Investigate injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents, review reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform operational risk assessments, inspect facilities and equipment, and implement controls for identified hazards.
• Develop equipment-specific lockout/tagout procedures and standard work instructions.
• Manage occupational injuries and illnesses through full return-to-work and support the safety committee and emergency response team.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of HSE experience, with knowledge of applicable regulations, root cause analysis, and independent work in high-risk scenarios.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental studies, or a related technical discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards, Safety Data Sheets, and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work onsite in a Las Vegas manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
