Equipment Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering

What you will do

• Design, procure, implement, and validate automation and capital equipment, with an emphasis on fixture design.
• Develop detailed equipment specifications, electrical drawings, implementation plans, and related documentation.
• Lead and support continuous improvement and new manufacturing projects.
• Evaluate processes and implement automation techniques to improve product flow, part quality, first-pass yield, capacity, cost, and lead time.
• Create and revise work instructions and routings, and train production and maintenance personnel on equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and R&D teams to complete critical projects and improve on-time shipping performance.

Requirements

• Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing and commissioning industrial automation equipment.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on engineering work.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and tasks, lead teams, and collaborate with people across geographies and skill sets.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in PLC programming.
• Understanding of SPC controls and experience implementing SPC data collection.
• Experience with MS-SQL databases, including historical data storage and data mining.
