Upgrade Install and Relocation (UIR) Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Hiroshima, Japan; customer sites across Japan, with business travel to other sites 50–90% of the time

hirify.global provides lithography systems that require installation, integration, calibration, and qualification at customer sites.

What you will do

• Execute installations and qualifications of lithography systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis to resolve installation issues.
• Coordinate with project coordinators, system owners, technical support teams, and customer representatives worldwide.
• Support continuous improvement across installation preparation, execution, tooling, and wrap-up.
• Travel frequently to customer and other business sites, including potential international locations.

Requirements

• English: fluent or native level required.
• Japanese: intermediate level or above required.
• Technical school, bachelor’s degree, or higher in mechanical, electrical, optical, or software engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with complex semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Legal authorization to access technology controlled under United States Export Administration Regulations is required before starting work.
