Clinical Systems Training & Support Specialist

Location: Rhode Island, United States. Regular travel to practice sites across Rhode Island is required, with a combination of remote, on-site, and office-based work depending on project needs.

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Assess, redesign, document, and implement clinical and administrative workflows across practices, departments, systems, and external partners.
• Deliver on-site and virtual training for physicians, nurses, and support staff across clinical and administrative systems.
• Provide at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, workflow transitions, and adoption of AI-assisted applications.
• Optimize EHR and clinical systems in partnership with the EHR Optimization Manager and cross-functional teams.
• Serve as a first-line resource for application issues, triaging, documenting, escalating, and tracking support requests.
• Coordinate with practices, internal departments, external partners, and desktop support during transitions and onboarding.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, EHR support, clinical training, or workflow optimization.
• Experience assessing and redesigning clinical or administrative workflows and delivering training across multiple healthcare systems.
• Experience creating end-user documentation, workflow maps, training materials, quick reference guides, and SOPs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, prioritization, and change-management skills.
• Ability to learn and train on new systems quickly and support staff and leadership through operational transitions.
• Ability to travel to practice sites across Rhode Island.

Nice to have

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Health IT, Health Administration, or a related field.
• Clinical background such as MA, LPN, RN, or similar.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or a similar major EHR platform.
• Familiarity with primary care operations, multi-site environments, HIPAA, and healthcare data privacy standards.
• Experience in a physician group or healthcare management company.
