Product Manager (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; Workplace: On-site. Willingness to travel to other Loft offices and customers is required.

What you will do

• Work closely with engineering to understand architectures, constraints, dependencies, and delivery feasibility.
• Translate strategy into actionable product requirements, use cases, Jira tickets, and measurable success criteria.
• Conduct customer discovery, debrief missions, and engage partners building on Loft’s platform, including onboard AI applications.
• Own the roadmap for a significant product area, balancing customer needs, engineering capacity, mission timelines, and company strategy.
• Build data-driven analyses, sizing, segmentation, business cases, and operational recommendations to support prioritization.
• Align engineering, program leadership, executives, marketing, and business development around product capabilities and technical narratives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience, including hands-on product management.
• Domain experience in at least one of earth observation, embedded systems, aerospace systems, or security and defense.
• Working knowledge of hardware and software development lifecycles.
• Structured, data-driven product thinking with strong product-market-fit orientation and high autonomy.
• Proficiency using and configuring Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken, and availability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French.
• Experience with AI/ML products, edge computing, or developer and partner platforms.
• Experience with satellite operations, constellation services, or ground segment products.
• Exposure to institutional and defense customers and procurement cycles.
• Experience in a fast-growing NewSpace company or venture-backed deep-tech startup.
• Experience working with international teams across time zones.
