Principal Product Manager (Industrial AI)

Location: Itasca, Illinois, United States; hybrid work opportunities are available.

What you will do

• Define the operating model and long-term product strategy for Industrial AI initiatives across aircraft, engine, and component maintenance.
• Identify market opportunities and conduct competitive analysis, including TAM/SAM/SOM sizing.
• Engage airlines, MRO providers, OEMs, and defense operators to gather requirements and validate solutions.
• Set AI governance, quality, safety, compliance, and responsible-AI standards for safety-critical maintenance features.
• Partner with engineering and data science teams to scope AI features, AI-assisted workflows, and product requirements standards.
• Build investment cases, financial models, pricing, sales plays, and go-to-market strategies while maintaining portfolio and P&L accountability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant product management or related leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in enterprise, industrial, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, asset-intensive, or regulated software environments.
• Proven experience leading AI-enabled product initiatives such as predictive maintenance, digital twins, or AI-assisted maintenance workflows.
• Ability to validate and govern AI/ML tools for safety-critical or compliance-sensitive environments.
• Experience with financial modeling, market sizing, business case creation, portfolio management, and P&L accountability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including interaction with customers, senior leadership, and the board.

Nice to have

• Experience in Aerospace and Defense, aviation maintenance, airline or MRO operations, engine overhaul, records and compliance, or asset management.
• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• MBA.
