DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid workplace with regular office attendance expected.

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own internal compute platforms and infrastructure services.
• Improve the maintainability, reliability, scalability, and utility of core infrastructure.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy options and integrate vendor and open-source technologies.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand emerging infrastructure needs and deliver solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations for high-severity incidents affecting critical systems.
• Research modern technologies and identify infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience focused on core infrastructure and operational excellence.
• 2+ years contributing to system design or architecture, including reliability and scaling.
• Strong systems programming experience with Go, Python, or Rust.
• Deep familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCE, or with system administration/SRE in data centers.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
