Field Applications Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; travel of up to 70% required.

What you will do

• Support outside sales representatives and PC customer accounts in the Tokyo territory.
• Provide customer application and service support to customers and sales channel partners.
• Contribute to new product specifications and develop power management IC and system-level solutions with design engineers.
• Build customer relationships and contribute to direct and indirect sales growth.
• Gather and analyze customer product, production volume, and R&D information to identify business opportunities.
• Identify customer issues, develop solutions, and coordinate with product-line teams.

Requirements

• BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical field, or at least 6 years of semiconductor industry sales experience.
• Experience supporting customers and sales activities in the semiconductor industry.
• Oral and written proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Ability to assess issues, report promptly, and escalate when necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
