Accounting Manager (GAAP)

Location: Philippines; remote; U.S. business hours

hirify.global is hiring for a client seeking an accounting professional to manage financial operations across multiple client accounts.

What you will do

• Execute accurate and timely month-end closes and prepare financial reports.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers, general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and AP/AR operations across multiple entities and locations.
• Process payroll using Gusto or similar platforms and manage employee setup and payroll records.
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax while maintaining compliance documentation and deadlines.
• Build management reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and analyze financial data for leadership decisions.
• Document and standardize accounting workflows, resolve process gaps, and coordinate reporting priorities with leadership and clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong accrual accounting and GAAP financials experience.
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location, or multi-segment accounting.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Desktop, and/or Enterprise.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, and Data Tables.
• Payroll processing, U.S. sales tax filing, general ledger, financial reporting, and strong English communication experience; ability to work independently during U.S. business hours.

Nice to have

• NetSuite experience.
• Familiarity with ADP, Paylocity, Ramp, Bill.com, or Clockify.
• Background in outsourced accounting or managing multiple client accounts.
