Post Closing Specialist (Mortgage)

What you will do

• Obtain daily suspense reports from investor sites and identify loans suspended for purchase.
• Review closed loan files, clarify investor conditions, and determine solutions for curing defects.
• Collaborate with internal and external departments and clients to obtain missing or corrected documentation.
• Log and upload suspense documentation to investor sites for review and loan purchase.
• Monitor condition reports, loan pipelines, purchase deadlines, and warehouse-line exposure.
• Prepare post-consummation closing disclosures and refund checks when required by regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in mortgage closing or post-closing activities.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, agency guidelines, investor guidelines, and loan-program overlays.
• Strong attention to detail, decision-making, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
