hirify.global is a startup developing scalable power electronics, including inverters and rectifiers, for renewable energy, storage, and grid-connected loads.

What you will do

  • Define product reliability requirements and corporate reliability strategy while balancing cost, schedule, manufacturability, and business risk.
  • Apply Physics of Failure and Design for Reliability principles across the product development lifecycle.
  • Derive mission profiles from real-world use conditions and develop accelerated life test calculations, including acceleration factors, sample sizes, and durations.
  • Build reliability models using Weibull and lifetime distributions, FMEA, fault tree analysis, censored data, and confidence intervals.
  • Own field reliability strategy and connect field failure data with design, testing, mission profiles, warranty terms, and lifecycle cost decisions.
  • Partner with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware/Software, Quality, Product, and Commercial teams; mentor engineers and build the reliability function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Deep experience with Physics of Failure and Design for Reliability, including mechanisms such as fatigue, thermal effects, electromigration, and corrosion.
  • Hands-on experience with mission-profile development, accelerated life testing, reliability statistics, Weibull analysis, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
  • Experience defining reliability requirements, maintainability and serviceability targets, system availability goals, and warranty-linked engineering targets.
  • Experience setting reliability strategy at an organizational level and owning field reliability strategy end to end.
  • Experience in power electronics or other high-reliability hardware domains, plus experience building or scaling a reliability engineering team.

Nice to have

  • Published research or industry papers in reliability or Physics of Failure, such as IEEE RAMS publications.
