Virtual Care Referral Coordinator (Temp) (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; hiring is currently budgeted for Zones A–C, excluding higher-cost Zone D markets.

Salary: $20.72 per hour for a full-time contract position.

What you will do

• Coordinate internal and external specialty, imaging, prior authorization, and other referral orders.
• Assist members by telephone and messaging as part of a virtual primary care team.
• Schedule appointments and help members locate facilities and contact providers.
• Request, organize, and upload medical records, imaging, and procedural results for provider review.
• Support providers with patient forms and collaborate with care teams, patient support, and compliance staff.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Experience in a physician's office or medical institution, including exposure to managed care and primary care practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to take meticulous notes, document actions, work independently, and use resources effectively.
• Proficiency with Google Suite or related software.
• Critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
