What you will do

  • Act as the primary technical owner and trusted advisor for strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Learn customer architectures, datasets, use cases, and operational objectives.
  • Integrate Observe into daily workflows with SRE, DevOps, platform, and engineering teams.
  • Optimize datasets, queries, dashboards, and alerts for signal quality, reliability, performance, and cost.
  • Lead health checks, architecture reviews, improvement initiatives, and technical guidance during complex operational events.
  • Coordinate escalations across Support, Engineering, and Product while identifying customer use cases and expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, observability engineering, or customer-facing technical advisory roles.
  • Hands-on experience operating production observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, or Elastic.
  • Practical experience with OpenTelemetry signals, instrumentation strategies, collectors, and telemetry pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience improving incident response, alert quality, troubleshooting speed, telemetry governance, or cost optimization.
  • Ability to lead complex technical discussions and produce clear architecture summaries, optimization plans, and executive-ready updates.

Nice to have

  • Experience standardizing or evolving telemetry strategies with OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience migrating from legacy logging or monitoring tools to modern observability platforms.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, and incident management platforms such as PagerDuty, Opsgenie, or VictorOps.
  • Experience influencing enterprise architecture decisions or mentoring engineers in observability practices.
