Learning & Development Manager

Location: Hickory, North Carolina, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Develop and execute an enterprise learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Assess skill gaps and build learning roadmaps covering onboarding, leadership, technical, compliance, and professional development.
• Design, facilitate, evaluate, and continuously improve leadership development and training programs across instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning formats.
• Partner with HR and business leaders on management effectiveness, succession planning, performance management, internal mobility, and career growth.
• Manage the LMS, training records, learning administration, participation tracking, and compliance monitoring.
• Establish learning metrics and use feedback, training results, and business indicators to improve program effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.
• Experience designing, facilitating, and managing leadership development programs.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, project management, organization, and program execution skills.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and e-learning technologies.
• Ability to influence leaders and stakeholders, measure learning effectiveness, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• CPTD or CHRMP certification.
• Experience with succession planning, leadership pipelines, organizational change management, or workforce development.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, technology, or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with talent management and performance development processes.
