Cloud Technologies Design Manager (Cloud)

Location: Arlington, VA/Washington, DC, United States; flexible travel to client sites. U.S. citizenship and work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship are required.

What you will do

• Plan and manage cloud assessments, technology design activities, and high-level program action plans.
• Define and lead solution architecture, including analysis of alternative architectures, standards, testing criteria, and cost-of-ownership models.
• Develop cloud technology strategies and solutions for legacy and new application migrations.
• Evaluate and select cloud technologies, including public, private, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Lead program-wide technology build, testing, deployment, capacity planning, and disaster recovery activities.
• Oversee troubleshooting, performance tuning, technical planning, and delivery across client projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud technologies and at least two of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, private cloud, PaaS, or SaaS.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud architecture and design.
• Experience with program and project leadership, detailed technical planning, and supervision.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud solutions and architectures for critical business systems.
• Experience with virtualization, storage, server solutions, capacity planning, disaster recovery, data migration, and performance tuning.
• Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Application and database rationalization, migration, and consolidation experience.
• ITIL, asset management, methodology implementation, and datacenter operations experience.
• Experience writing scripts to automate operational tasks.
