Senior Credit Review Team Leader (Credit Risk)

Location: Detroit, MI, United States; office workplace type

Salary: $125,000–$255,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a team across credit risk review engagements and continuous monitoring activities.
• Act as a credit risk subject matter expert for commercial and/or consumer portfolio segments.
• Develop and manage credit review programs covering underwriting, credit administration, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate review objectives, procedures, budgets, staffing, annual plans, and recommendation follow-up.
• Identify emerging risks, improve credit review tools and methods, and provide technical guidance on integrated engagements.
• Present credit risk findings to executive management and the Board and represent Credit Review in risk meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in credit review, risk management, credit risk management, portfolio monitoring, underwriting, or analysis, including management experience.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk management and control frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage difficult conversations and multiple engagements.
• Experience with project management, credit or statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of GAAP or financial statement analysis and experience with conflict management.
