Lead Business Analyst (Payments)

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment solutions.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Analyze payment workflows, transaction lifecycles, and operational processes to identify improvements.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and solution reviews with product, engineering, testing, and operations teams.
• Support solution design, impact analysis, gap assessments, change management, user acceptance activities, and defect triage.
• Monitor delivery progress, maintain requirement traceability, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6–11 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, fintech, or payments.
• Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems, payment processing, and transaction flows.
• Experience with payment products such as real-time payments, ACH, wires, SWIFT, card payments, or digital payments.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, business process modeling, and documentation.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messaging standards.
• Experience with payment modernization or digital transformation programs.
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in payments.
• CBAP, CCBA, Agile, Scrum, or Product-related certification.
