Lead Business Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; or New York, New York

What you will do

• Partner with Product Managers, clients, and delivery teams to deliver solutions for a Money Market portal.
• Lead requirements discovery sessions and workshops, translating business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support Agile ceremonies, development, testing, client validation, and backlog prioritization as a proxy Product Owner when required.
• Shape solutions that balance client needs, regulatory obligations, commercial objectives, and product strategy.
• Manage risks, issues, escalations, KPIs, and success metrics across assigned initiatives.
• Coach Business Analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of Business Analysis practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in client-facing Agile delivery environments with globally distributed teams.
• Experience with Money Markets or related financial markets, such as liquidity, cash management, or institutional services.
• Strong knowledge of Agile software development lifecycles and business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with analytical problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communication, and autonomous decision-making.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, data modelling, data flow analysis, SQL Server or similar databases, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of financial messaging formats including FIX, ISO 15022, ISO 20022, XML, JSON, and CSV.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital financial-services platforms, client onboarding, configuration, data mapping, and integration analysis.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, or Enterprise Architect.
• Experience with Behaviour Driven Development and Gherkin syntax.
• CBAP, CCBA, or relevant US securities and investment operations qualifications.
• Knowledge of fund distribution, fund-management processes, financial products, regulatory roles, and market practice.
