Head of Compliance Framework and Insights (Financial Services): Leading the compliance framework, regulatory engagement, policy suite, control effectiveness assessments, and horizon-scanning capability across a UK investment platform with an accent on financial services regulation, governance, and senior stakeholder management. Focus on strengthening regulatory oversight, preparing executives for FCA engagement, assessing complex compliance risks, and using AI, data, and management information to improve compliance effectiveness.
Location: Bristol, UK; hybrid working with three days per week in the office

What you will do
- Lead the Compliance Framework and Insights team of six, setting objectives, developing capability, and managing performance.
- Own the compliance policy framework and lead the annual Compliance Effectiveness and Control Assessment.
- Lead strategic regulatory engagement with the FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies on behalf of the Director of Compliance.
- Establish second-line horizon scanning and regulatory change assessment, including consultation responses and strategic regulatory insight.
- Provide regulatory reporting, insights, and challenge to governance forums, executive committees, and the Board.
- Improve compliance processes, management information, team effectiveness, and the use of AI and technology.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in compliance or a similar role within a relevant financial services sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial services products and markets, UK and European regulation, regulatory policy, and regulatory processes.
- Experience with regulatory engagement and insights, including experience at the FCA or a consulting firm.
- Proven experience leading, managing, and developing a team.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, organisational, risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
