Cloud Software Engineer - Observability Platform (Golang)

Salary: $141,000–$208,000 USD; US Premium Markets: $157,000–$230,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed systems powering observability across ClickHouse Cloud.
• Own the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of telemetry pipelines and storage systems handling trillions of events per day.
• Participate in on-call rotations, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes.
• Build tooling and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work.
• Shape the observability roadmap by identifying bottlenecks and scaling challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on observability improvements, architecture reviews, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and running production systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Golang.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability tools.
• Strong production debugging, communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
