Data Science & AI Delivery Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in London or New York

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 annually plus a 20–25% annual bonus; London compensation is £90,000–£120,000.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions from concept through production.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple initiatives, covering architecture, engineering, scalability, deployment, and governance.
• Design and build solutions using large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and agentic AI approaches.
• Contribute hands-on Python development, architecture reviews, technical problem-solving, and proof-of-concepts.
• Drive best practices across MLOps, testing, monitoring, version control, and production deployment pipelines.
• Mentor Data Scientists and AI Engineers while partnering with engineering, data, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience delivering AI and machine learning solutions in production.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with modern machine learning and data science frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, generative AI, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with Databricks, MLflow, Spark, and cloud-based AI platforms, preferably Azure.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, software engineering practices, and production deployment pipelines.
• Experience leading technical teams, managing stakeholders, and delivering projects in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI agents and orchestration workflows.
• Insurance or financial services experience.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, model governance, explainability, and bias mitigation.
