Applied AI Lead (AI)

Location: United States; candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of a Sia office or approved coworking location. Regular office presence is expected at least three days per week between client engagements, with onsite client work based on engagement needs.

Annual base salary: $129,500–$134,600 at Associate Manager level or $140,000–$160,000 at Manager level, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and build AI agents, copilots, and automation workflows in client environments.
• Write production-quality code and move AI solutions from pilots to scaled deployments.
• Integrate AI tooling with enterprise data platforms, applications, legacy IT, and operational technology systems.
• Own technical delivery of assigned workstreams, including testing, iteration, troubleshooting, monitoring, evaluation, guardrails, and hand-off.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Build reusable accelerators, libraries, and reference architectures while mentoring junior technical talent.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• 5–8+ years of experience building and shipping software or AI/ML solutions into production.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, including LLMs, AI agents, copilots, RAG, or workflow automation platforms.
• Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language, AI/ML frameworks, and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, data platforms, or industrial/OT environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy and utilities, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, or industrial products.
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AWS Bedrock, or Azure AI.
• Consulting or client-facing technical delivery experience.
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, or model evaluation.
