Senior Technical SEO Specialist

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hybrid working with office attendance an average of four days per week; home office support is available where needed.

Gross annual salary: €80,000–€90,000, based on experience.

What you will do

• Conduct advanced technical SEO audits for large websites, platforms, and international domain structures.
• Analyse crawling, indexing, rendering, source code, HTTP behaviour, redirects, canonicalisation, and robots directives.
• Optimise crawl architecture, internal linking, information architecture, migrations, replatforming, faceted navigation, pagination, internationalisation, and hreflang.
• Perform log file analysis to understand crawler behaviour and improve crawl efficiency.
• Develop scripts, tooling, frameworks, templates, and automation for scalable recurring analyses.
• Work with developers, engineers, solution architects, product teams, and clients to review implementations and define technical requirements.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience independently investigating and solving complex technical SEO problems.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, web architecture, APIs, caching, CDN behaviour, and response headers.
• Experience with JavaScript SEO, SSR, CSR, SSG, hydration, dynamic rendering, crawling, indexing, and search engine processing.
• Knowledge of XML sitemaps, canonical tags, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, structured data, Schema.org, and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with international websites, complex multi-market architectures, website migrations, crawl budget, and scalable platforms.
• Comfort reading code, manipulating data, building scripts, and translating technical findings into clear recommendations and tickets.
