Senior Risk Analyst - Finance Oversight (Banking)

What you will do

• Design and lead comprehensive reviews of risk governance and reporting across the Finance & Regulatory Reporting Oversight domain.
• Independently analyze regulatory interpretations, model outputs, capital calculations, and treasury assumptions.
• Assess the adequacy of first-line risk controls and compliance with banking regulatory standards.
• Represent the Second Line of Defense in stakeholder meetings across Risk and Finance.
• Improve review plans, issue escalation protocols, and second-line review standards.
• Contribute to training, mentoring, audit remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative or analytical field, plus at least five years of relevant experience; alternatively, equivalent education and at least nine years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of financial principles and banking regulatory and compliance issues.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Advanced analytical abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines and communicate with junior staff through senior and executive management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• CPA or CFA certification.
• Experience leading or formally mentoring junior staff.
