UI/UX Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite at hirify.global office locations in Chicago, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; or Jacksonville, Florida.

Salary: $99,040–$168,380 per year.

What you will do

• Build high-fidelity, visually consistent interfaces using shared design systems, design tokens, and reusable styles.
• Translate Figma designs into responsive front-end layouts aligned with product and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to understand user personas, pain points, edge cases, and UX gaps.
• Implement semantic, accessible markup, keyboard navigation, and WCAG-compliant experiences.
• Conduct UI testing and improve front-end reliability, performance, maintainability, and design-system quality.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of front-end software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS/SCSS.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and familiarity with GraphQL.
• Experience with Jest, Cypress, Testing Library, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Git.
• Ability to analyze complex user flows, propose technical solutions, and communicate UI behavior clearly.
• Current and future visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with Figma or similar design hand-off tools.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies.
