Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: New York, hybrid

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Data Science and Analytics team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing data scientists and analytics engineers.
• Set technical standards for experimentation, analytics, statistics, data modeling, metric design, and insights.
• Prioritize high-impact work and allocate team capacity across Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Partnerships.
• Partner with executives and senior stakeholders to shape product and business strategy through data and insights.
• Define business and product measurement frameworks, establish key metrics, and ensure effective instrumentation and monitoring.
• Build a deep understanding of users, buyers, and prospects in partnership with UXR and customer feedback teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years managing data scientists and/or analytics engineers and 6+ years overall in data science or analytics.
• Strong technical depth in experimentation, analytics, statistics, data modeling, and metric design.
• Expertise in product or growth data science, including acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention funnels in B2B or B2C products.
• Experience influencing product roadmaps and connecting data work to business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management, data storytelling, communication, hiring, coaching, and team development skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, GitHub, dbt, Hex, Sigma, and Dagster.

Nice to have

• Experience in product-led growth or B2B SaaS, especially usage-based pricing.
• Experience with embedded or hub-and-spoke data team models.
• Experience scaling data teams through rapid company growth.
• Experience working on AI products and enthusiasm for AI-native ways of working.
