Senior Benefits and Leaves Specialist

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year, plus benefits

What you will do

• Administer health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and other employee benefits programs.
• Manage FMLA, ADA, parental leave, and other statutory leave programs.
• Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on benefits, leave options, procedures, and compliance.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors, insurance carriers, and government agencies.
• Maintain benefits enrollment, leave credit, and related documentation records.
• Conduct benefits training, support audits and reporting, and track legislative and industry changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and paid leave laws.
• Familiarity with benefits administration systems and HRIS platforms, including Workday and ADP payroll.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex policies and regulations and handle sensitive information confidentially.

Nice to have

• Experience with benefits vendors and insurance providers.
• Project management skills.
• HR certification such as PHR or HRCI.
• Basic knowledge of Canadian benefits.
