Senior Software Engineer with practical DevOps ownership (C++)

Location: Best, Netherlands; hybrid working. A relocation budget is available when relocating to the Netherlands.

Salary: €57,000–€76,000 per year, including net expense allowance, mobility package, 13th-month bonus, and holiday allowance.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and verify subsystems, modules, and components for complex embedded systems.
• Integrate software with complex hardware and software systems.
• Apply object-oriented programming, UML, unit testing, and modern software design principles.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automate builds and test execution.
• Develop Python tooling to remove repetitive manual work and improve developer experience.
• Help colleagues adopt better engineering practices and improve software quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a similar technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience as a Software Engineer in a high-tech or embedded environment.
• Strong experience designing and developing object-oriented software solutions in C++; Python is preferred.
• Experience with optimization and setting up or maintaining CI/CD and build environments is required.
• Experience with OOP, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus.
