Infrastructure/Operation (AV & Collaboration) Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States

Base salary: $85,000–$90,000 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Evaluate emerging conference room technologies and conduct regional proof-of-concept testing in laboratory environments.
• Lead regional pilot deployments, collect user feedback and technical data, and refine global design standards.
• Design standardized AV building blocks for spaces ranging from huddle rooms to executive boardrooms.
• Maintain signal flow diagrams, wiring schematics, configuration guides, and other technical documentation.
• Ensure regional builds meet global security, networking, and aesthetic standards.
• Act as a tier 3 escalation point and coordinate with local AV integrators and vendors on delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems engineering or technology architecture experience, or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Expert knowledge of video conferencing, AV over IP standards, control systems, and audio DSP.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, including backend management and advanced configuration.
• Technical proficiency with Cisco Control Hub and Call Manager.
• Experience with professional-grade DSPs, PTZ cameras, beamforming microphones, large-format displays, and active LED walls.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and signal flow diagrams and work independently as part of a global team across time zones.
